The Spud Bros got out of their comfort zone, giving a keynote speech at the Business Show at London’s ExCeL.

The co-founders Harley and Jacob shared their story of how they transformed the world’s oldest jacket potato trader into a social media juggernaut generating over 100 million views a month.

  • Creating demand on social media means people come to you - people have traveled from Japan, America, Poland to get their hands on the greatest spud on earth.

  • As you grow you need a team, don’t be afraid to bring in outsiders to share risk with you and provide the operational support you need to scale.

There’s a formula to going viral - and anyone can do it

  • Hook people in on the first second, and make sure the opening seconds spark curiosity. Then it’s community building - be your authentic self and keep showing up while sharing your journey

Stay true to your values

  • If there’s one thing the Spud Bros are most famous for, it’s giving back. They first went viral for giving away the first spud of the day. Supporting their local community and inspiring young people is isn’t just a format it’s part of their DNA as a family and a business
